GRASSLANDS

DECEMBER 2020

An excellent growing season has revealed some prolific pastures of Kangaroo Grass (Themeda triandra).

This will be useful information for site visit by experts Lori Gould and Maya Potapowicz later this month.

Lori has experience in land-management strategy and has worked as an effective catalyst between landowners and government. Maya is highly regarded a botanist who will develop a plan for recording the flora array in the Yambulla valley.

We’ve started exploring the potential for harvesting our native grasses and in early discussions with Bruce Pascoe he expressed an interest in harvesting some to fulfil a request from someone using Kangaroo Grass for brewing beer.
